LAPAROSCOPY

Laparoscopic surgery is a modern surgical technique in which operations are performed far from their location through small incisions(usually 0.5–1.5 cm). Quite a number of open surgeries can now be performed by using this method.

For IVF purposes, laparoscopy is very frequently used to operate on the tubes and ovaries of patients.

HYSTEROSKOPY

Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by endoscopy with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention. It is of a very short duration and can be performed on a patient under local anesthesia.
